Our Partnership with Dress for Success Toronto
Dress for Success Toronto’s Boutique Experience Program would not be possible without the generous donations from the community of new and gently used clothing. These items are critical to ensuring their Boutique is stocked with high quality, relevant work attire for women who are actively job searching, in the process of making a career change, or wanting to expand their work wardrobe.
Please take note of the specific items Dress for Success Toronto is currently accepting as these may change based on the needs of their Clients.
All donated items should be ready-to-wear, clean, free of damages, and not in need of repairs (see donation guidelines below).

Blazers: Size US 8 / M & Up Only
Cardigans: Size US 8 / M & Up Only
Tops (Shirts, Blouses, Sweaters): Size US 8 / M & Up Only
Pants / Trousers: Size US 8 / M & Up Only
Dresses: Size US 8 / M & Up Only
Donation Guidelines
All donated items must be in excellent condition, freshly dry-cleaned or laundered and ironed, and free of rips, tears, and stains. As the focus of our Boutique is on work attire, we are looking for both staple and statement pieces that can be worn in interview and workplace settings, appropriate for a variety of sectors and industries. Please avoid including casual items such as sweatpants, t-shirts, and sneakers.
Criteria for Acceptable Donations
Clean, ready-to-wear clothing
Items that are new or gently used in quality
Modern or classic pieces that are always in style
Work Appropriate (ie. clothing that can be worn to office or business settings)
Items that fall outside this lsit will not be utilized for DFS Toronto Programs
Items Not Accepted
Accessories (footwear, purses, jewelry, belts, etc)
Dirty / damaged items or items in need of repair
Casual clothing, sleepwear, and loungewear
Small appliances, household goods or bedding
Used undergarments, hosiery, or swimwear
Opened or used toiletry or cosmetic products
Menswear clothing and accessories
Children’s clothing, toys, and accessories

Gibson’s Cleaners
To donate at your convenience, please take your items to one of our three Gibson’s Cleaners locations. Gibson’s Cleaners accepts donations up to 20 items OR 2 boxes without an appointment. Do you want to donate more items? Make an appointment (48 hours in advance) to arrange a drop-off at Gibson’s main location (Dundas) by calling Gibson’s office 416 239 2301 or sending an e-mail to: customerservice@gibsonscleaners.com
Pre-Book at DFS Toronto
DFS accept donations at 5150 Yonge Street, Unit C29, Toronto, ON between 1:00 PM-2:00 PM the last Friday of the month by appointment only. Please click here to schedule your drop off date.
